♥♥♥♥♥ Rhapsody To Go compatible!
I took a gamble yesterday and bought this player based on the stellar reviews of customers and professionals, even though I was less than confident it would work my beloved music subscription service: Rhapsody To Go. To my great glee, not only does it work, it works almost effortlessly. First of all, Rhapsody recognized the player and it was easily authorized. Second, My last player was a Rhapsody Sansa, and there was a lot of tinkering with settings to sync it with Rhapsody each time. With the Sony, it is truly just drag and drop, and with 8 gigs, I'm having fun going in search of new music and some video to download.

The Sony also feels more sturdy, and, since the Sansa crashed and died, I'm a little more comfortable with a player from a company that has earned a reputation for making reliable products.

So, even though Rhapsody doesn't list this player as compatible, or anything by Sony for that matter, and even though the A818 is marketed with a Napster partnership, it will work with Rhapsody To Go!

Oh! I have to add that the headphones rock - the sound is so smooth, even at higher volumes. There isn't that harsh metallic feeling from the sound, unless your tracks of choice include it intentionally. They also block out a lot of the background noise. At first I thought the cord was too short, but soon realized that an extra cable in box is an extension cord - making it just about right the right length for me to carry the player in my pocket comfortably...If you're super tall, you might ask for an extra cord or if they make a longer set of buds. Enjoy!
