♥♥♥♥ Enjoying new sounds...
I've been looking for a new pair of headphones for about four or five years now since I ran over my last pair with a windrower out in the field (long story). I bought these off the reviews and the price at purchase. The size wasn't a deterrent for me, but I could see how it could be for some people. I purchased these with the idea that they would stay at home to be plugged into my stereo or my discman (I still like the sound of my CD's or vinyl over digital). However I wouldn't be afraid to take them with me on a trip, because if it's good sound I don't care what I look like. That said, they are big and probably look a bit ridiculous (air traffic controller anyone). But the sound is great, I'm picking up on details within songs that I had not noticed before. They don't block out all outside noise, but they do a decent job. Comfort wise the ear pads are very comfortable, which is where I've had most of my problems with headphones in the past. The skull portion can get a bit uncomfortable if you don't have the situated just right, but once you find the sweet spot they fit perfectly and feel great. An added bonus for me was the extension for the cord, I don't have to be sitting right next to the stereo, which is nice. The cord is wrapped in a fabric material rather than plastic, so we'll see how it wears, but so far so good. Overall good buy =)
