I swear by them . . .

every night for the last four or five years i've slept with these headphones on. in the middle of the night they inevitably come off and i end up laying on them, or the cord gets wrapped around my body, and still, they last for six months or more(so they must last so much longer if you don't crush them once a day). the key is that they're so flexible, it's almost impossible to break them. the first thing that will wear out on these things is the foam cover on the earpieces.
however, if you want noise-cancelling, then maybe move on. they're good for moderately quiet settings, but if you want to hear the music clearly in a busy place without turning the volume all the way up, these aren't for you. i don't ride subways or walk city streets, so they suit me just fine.
