Basic System

| We're not audiophiles but a new 47" hdtv deserves good sound, right? So, we just grabbed the cheapest one which happened to be this unit. It was so easy to hook up that I thought I must have done something wrong or missed something but it works great. The sound is fine for these old ears and I'm still trying to figure out the different formats. It has a plug in for the ipod but I have to buy a dock separate. There is also no digital audio in or a lot of other plug options in the back. I guess I can use rca Y cables at teh audio input if we get a blueray player in the future, huh? The unit also takes up a lot of shelf space being wide and deep, though thin. The remote is bland and difficult to use in low light. It has an am/fm tuner so it can double as a mini stereo system without a lot of hardware. |
