Head and shoulders above the rest.

I never post reviews, but with the A2s I'm compelled to spread the good news.
These are impressive speakers. Powerful, rich, complex sound which shames all other desktop speakers I've heard.
Audio Quality:

My music sounds 3-dimensional again. Excellent clarity; I'm hearing long-forgotten detail. Excellent highs and mids. The bass is clean, but it's not too-thumpy like you may be accustomed to.
Even at 20% volume, my music sounds great. Above 50%, the entire range seems to really pop. Sounds good down the hallway.
Build Quality:

Handsome, dense wood cabinets with a bit of gloss (not at all shiny like the photos suggest). I was pleasantly surprised by the gold-plated speaker wire posts that connect the left and right units.
Out of box experience:
----------------------
The speakers, etc. come in velvety draw-string pouches. It's cheesy, but that and the high build quality made it feel like I'd bought something special. Similar to unboxing an Apple product.
Negative:

The power/volume knob is on back of the left speaker. This looks better, but is annoying to adjust. But I just leave it at 60% and adjust volume through iTunes. No problem.
Comparison:

These replaced my JBL Creature 2.1 Speakers, which have thumpier bass but not even half the clarity. I'd never go back.
