Strong bass and sharp and not distorted. It would shake our whole house! It broke and so I bought this because of all the great reviews. I am sorry I did buy it. When I first set it up and listed to some great music I could hardly even hear the bass with the bass all the way up. I even turned up the bass and sound to it from my receiver. That helped and it got lound, but was distorted. Maybe i'm just spoiled from my previous $300+ sub, but this sucked. Am returning it and looking for something better.
