I'm a Bose fan, but not this one, Bought it 2X's go for a Polk CS 1, even my cheapie speaker $15 was better >>

I owned this speaker for a year or so and I was never really satisfied with the quality, it looks like a million bucks - but the quality is not there on this one.
I had a hard time hearing dialouge without turning this way up. Eventually I started to notice sort of a 'tinging' sound, so just for kicks I replaced the speaker w/ another I had in my daughters room - and POW, even that was better!
So I buy ANOTHER one, I figured maybe I had a defective one, it sounded the same. I returned it the next day for a Polk CS1, which is HUGE, so big I'm putting up a shelf behind my big screen, but the sound... INCREDIBLE, I can't believe what I've been missing, all along thinking I had a good center channel...
All I can think of is more and more is coming through the center channel these days, and this speaker doesn't handle it.
Trust me. I'm not a Bose basher, I have 3 bose systems, I have 301's up front which are fantastic - this center channel is truly insulting. |
