♥♥♥♥♥ A Superior Documentary about the Positive Side of Sports
"We had a bond that we didn't want to be denied, and we stuck together through thick and thin." These are the immortal words of Basketball Hall of Fame member Bob Lanier. Lanier, who is still the consensus best cager to ever come out of Buffalo, excelled as a center for St. Bonaventure from 1966-1970. He was considered my many to be the best player in the country in 1969-70, a magical season for the Bonnies that is still talked about with wonder a generation later. The Bonnies were also led by Lanier's teammate, roommate, and friend Billy Kalbaugh who played point guard.

Unfinished Dreams recounts this special team from the little Catholic school in Olean, New York-"The Enterprising City with the Home Town Touch." Unfinished Dreams uses video footage and shows press clipings from many of the season's games. There are also interviews with St. Bonaventure players, broadcasters, fans, and head coach Larry Weise. All of these people reflect on the 1969-70 season and the impact St. Bonaventure basketball has had on their lives. These testimonies, especially the ones from people at neighborhood places like Ray's Barber Shop, help show how close the Bonnies and the Olean community were during that season of unfinished dreams.

Unfinished Dreams is produced by Rigas Entertainment, Picture Business Productions, and the now defunct but once heralded Empire Sports Network of Western New York. The documentary is narrated by Charles Osgood of CBS fame and also features great music, such as the spiritual "Wade in the Water"-The Bonnies' anthem for that year. So join Bob, Billy, and all the Bonnies for an hour of remembering that unforgettable season that showcased hustle, heart, and everything that makes sports great.
