| I loved this video. I was a Spanish student for years, but never got to go to Spain. Mr. Steves talks honestly about Spanish history, and shows you where important monuments are located. I liked his treatment of Barcelona as a separate cultural entity. I saw for myself the Moorish influence on architecture. I saw that Gibralter doesn't belong to Spain. Traveling to Morocco by ferry helped demystify the relationship between Africa and Spain. In short, this video brought me up to date on the Spain I studied in language classes. |
