I'm so glad I chanced across this one

| It was a complete accident: I rented this anime because the box looked interesting, and, seeing as how I am currently pretty picky about my anime, the fact that I picked it up at all is amazing. All I can say is, I am biting my tongue now. I am so glad that I saw this anime. This is a marvelous story. I got extremely attached to Kenshin and Tomoe (the main characters), as well as Katsura and Hiko (fairly minor). The plot was as thickly woven as I could hope for: complex but very understandable, with a marvelous tragic storyline, and characters that made sense: Tomoe and Kenshin's actions were perfectly in sync with how I would have expected them to behave. The love story held me captive, and I was enthralled watching the changes coming over each character. I am a lover of tragedy, and this is tragic to the max. This movie, along with Rurouni Kenshin: Trust, will make your chest ache deep inside. I highly recommend this anime; it is one of my favorites. |
