Manon of the Spring Customer Reviews   1     2     3   ♥♥♥♥♥ Excellent Classic Tragedy This film is great because it is just so horrible. It is a true tragedy. Before seeing this film, you must see "Jean de florette" or else the full impact will not register. Claude Berri masterfully recreates post WWI southern French rural life. The pace is unrushed with an ending that is quite sad. This story can stand on its own but really concludes the greater story arch set up in "Jean de florette".   1     2     3   Non User
