| Jay Richardson (Bikini Airways) turns in a powerful performance as Tommy Stompanato, the Mafia Don known as the Gucci Goomba. The movie starts in a courtroom, where he is on trial for murdering his girlfriend. Her sister, Tara McCormick, is played by Wendy Schumacher (Scorned 2). She intently watches the proceedings from the back of the courtroom. After the jury finds Tommy not guilty, Tara makes her way to the front, takes a gun out of her purse and shoots Tommy. You know this movie's going to be good because, (1) she managed to sneak a gun into a courtroom, past all the metal detectors, and (2) even though she shot Tommy six times at point blank range, he survives! Tara is sent to prison for attempted murder. Tara's cellmate, Josie Williams, is portrayed by the beautiful Shauna O'Brien (Penthouse: Party With The Pets). The two women form an instant bond. Tommy's right hand man Ryker, played by movie veteran Ross Hagen (The Sidehackers), is instructed to make sure Tara doesn't survive her jail term. Tara is attacked by several female inmates, but manages to kick their butts. Tara makes a deal with government agent James O'Keefe, played by Tim Abell (Attack Of The 60 Foot Centerfold). In exchange for agreeing to finish the job on Tommy, they will release her from prison. Therefore, even though she's usually in a rage, Tara's not really a fugitive! Tommy finds out that Tara is no longer in prison, so he has Ryker kidnap her cellmate Josie and bring her to his mansion. In the meantime, Tara is taken to a safehouse guarded by Katherine Victor (Wild World Of Batwoman). There Tara sharpens her fighting skills by sparring with a male boxer, who she naturally beats like a drum! Tara goes stir crazy and escapes from the safehouse, narrowly missing getting run over by Tommy's henchmen. Once her location has been discovered, they have to leave the safehouse. From there, Tara and James really bond in a hotel room and barely manage to survive a hit by Tommy's henchmen. They soon make their way to Tommy Stompanato's mansion, killing all of the guards to get to him. The final confrontation between Tommy and Tara is a classic scene, which Tommy does not survive. Tara's cellmate Josie is rescued, and their reunion should bring the movie to an expected happy ending. However, there are still a few twists and turns left, with a violent surprise ending. The movie is well paced with lots of nonstop action. The major fault with this film is the fact that the female lead is played by Wendy Schumacher. Her stunning good looks, sexiness and martial arts skills are overshadowed by her complete lack of any acting ability! |
