absolutely 'Enchanting'.....

| ENCHANTED APRIL is a charming story about a group of English women seeking refuge away from their dreary surroundings, and rent a flat together in Italy for their Spring holiday. This is an especially affirmative and enjoyable little fantasy for anyone living in a particularly gloomy or temperate climate. I have lived in Seattle all of my life and we are no strangers to rain and darkness, almost nine months of the year. When I first watched this film, starring the wonderful Miranda Richardson (Rose Arbuthnot), Josie Lawrence (Lottie Wilkins), vampish Polly Walker (Caroline Dester) and delightfully crotchety Joan Plowright (Mrs. Fisher), I could feel the beautiful Italian sunshine warm my shoulders. This is a lovely little movie that will truly capture your heart. Enjoy! |
