Some of the "fright" moments might have played well in the theater but they're not particularly scary. While the film is set up as a horror-mystery (with an intriguing premise) it doesn't deliver. There are huge logic gaps in the story once it unfolds which makes the sometimes slow pace of the film have no payoff in the end. There are some good performances here but the material is weak.
