The affair between an older woman and a younger man, the impact of this on her family, and on herself when it ends, is shown in a way that is hilarious, serious, and sympathetic. Why I liked it: * The true awful self-centeredness of love is not avoided. There is acknowledgement of just how ridiculously we behave, but at the same time a respect for the strength of these feelings. * The surprising way that some of the people around the affair reacted to it. I'm considering showing it to some of my middle-aged women friends.
