The trick is to blend.

Having never been a hitman, I could be wrong about this. But. You would think one of the rules would be to blend in so you could do quick, successful getaways. Enter HITMAN and the three "B's": Big, Bald & Bar coded. Don't even bother growing hair and covering it. Just STAND OUT IN THE CROWD! And am I the only one who noticed the black HITMAN didn't have the bar code? See? He's blending.
Ok, so HITMAN is a game. I even own it (yawn) and now I'm gonna make a movie. The first thing I do is hire a really bad actor. If he was gorgeous I'd make some exception to the fact he can't act, but he isn't. He's just...bald. The Russian girl is drop-dead gorgeous, true. The cop and side-kick are decent actors. All well and good -- but the lead really should hav gone to someone else. Hey, give it to Josh Brolin since he's been in the last several GOOD movies I've seen.
Nah, skip this one. Go grab NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN or AMERICAN GANGSTER and see what combinations of good scripting and great acting can accomplish. You sure aren't going to see that here. |
