High aspirations, too complicated & stiff

This is a quality production in studio w/4 female in shape backup women. It gives options of instruction (alone & w/partner) or workout with chapter choices & also comes in 5.1 surround. There's a bonus 3 min dance of her & the other women dancing & her & a male partner. She seems a little stiff in her dancing even in the bonus.
Instruction (no music): Bachata for 5 min, Salsa for 15 min, Merenge 12 min, Cha-cha/Triple mambo for 11 min.
Workout: 5 min warmup of all maj muscles, 5 min of Bachata, 7 min of Salsa, 5 min of Merenge, 4 min of Cha-Cha, 2 min of cooldown.
I agree w/other reviewers taht the moves were too advanced & having the instruction separate & more boring made remembering the moves harder. Also, the camera zoomed in too much on faces or faces then floatind down so it was very hard to keep up. Even though I own many dance fitness dvds I still couldn't keep up. As just an instructional & practice for say a wedding where you were desperate & short on cash this MAY be an option, but even then... Might be best for those who already took lessons & want a refresher or professional dancers or those who can pick up new dances easily. |
