This is the REMASTERED edition
|
I had this on VHS and laserdisc, and I saw the early DVD release and was not impressed. Now we get this remastered version. The video quality is as a little better than the laserdisc, the original DVD was horribly degraded in comparison. And now we get PCM audio instead of the data compressed Dolby Digital sound of the original DVD.
Enough technical stuff, if you love early British Metal, like Zeppelin, Sabbath, Deep Purple, Motorhead, and Diamondhead, you will love Metallica. This disc captures the early true Metallica with the late great Cliff Burton. He was one of the last members to join the band but somehow formed the heart and soul of Metallica. He was a great musician and performer, a lover of classical music and rock alike. His bass solo Orion makes me think of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos.
