Essential performance on a good...but not great...DVD

I don't own the "Live After Death" VHS tape, so I can't address the comments other reviewers have made in comparison to this new DVD.
A few things are certain:
Any Iron Maiden fan who doesn't acknowledge [[ASIN:B000063DFN Powerslave]] as an essential album isn't an Iron Maiden fan.
Any Iron Maiden fan who doesn't acknowledge [[ASIN:B000063DHK Live After Death]] as one of their best...if not THE best...live albums, isn't an Iron Maiden fan.
The reviews you've read about the video quality are all accurate. You will see grain, you won't see Blu-Ray, so deal with it.
It is an essential Iron Maiden performance on DVD that uses what may or may not be the best source tapes available. If you have an interest in either heavy metal or Maiden, it's 5 stars all the way. |
