And Brad Pitt continues to show his acting chops have little to do with his looks. The scenery is breathtaking, the details perfect and viewers are taken back to a time and place seen many times in film, but rarely so well. The story of Jesse James and Robert Ford is unfolded slowly and clearly. It's a relationship that defies ordinary labels and no ordinary movie would attempt to depict it. Great writing, excellent acting, and cinematography that won't quit. If you're looking for a shoot-em-up action movie, look elsewhere. This is art - hence, its failure at the box office. Yes, I am the one person who bought the HD-DVD while knowing full well the war is over, and BluRay won. The picture is striking.
