A good choice

| If you're a fan of the Andy Griffith Show this is a good set to buy. At least by the second season Andy was not acting like a country buffoon as he die in the first season. His constant badgering of Barney Pfife was very over done. I'd have to admit that if I was from the south especially North Carolina, I would have been quite offended by the "Andy" character. The only redeaming quality of the show was the genuine comedic talent of Don Knotts, (the real reason we watched), and the other supporting characters. Don't get me wrong, I think "The Andy Griffith Show" was one of the best series on TV ever, but not necessarily because of Andy Griffith. |
